Shopify says operational but it is not working for me
A theme change or a newly installed app is a far more likely cause of a broken storefront than a Shopify incident — check recent changes first. Custom domain problems present as a total outage and are usually DNS. API calls failing with 429 are hitting Shopify's leaky-bucket rate limit, which is per-store and not an outage.
