About isuptime
How isuptime works, where the data comes from and how to get the most out of it.
isuptime is a free, live status page that monitors the health of 40 developer and social services — including GitHub, OpenAI, Cloudflare, AWS, Google Workspace and Reddit — by polling each provider's public status API in real time and combining the results on one dashboard.
Service status is refreshed every 15 seconds, affected components every 30 seconds, and incidents every 60 seconds. The dashboard also refreshes immediately whenever you switch back to the tab.
Every service reports through its own official public status endpoint (statuspage.io, Google Apps Status, AWS RSS, Slack, Heroku or Firebase). isuptime only aggregates what each provider publishes and never probes or tests a service itself.
Uptime is the share of recent status samples in which a service was operational. isuptime samples each provider's endpoint on a rolling basis, so the percentage reflects reliability over the tracked window rather than a contractual SLA.
Operational means all systems are reporting normal health. Degraded means the provider reports reduced performance or partial issues. Partial Outage and Major Outage mean the provider reports service disruption. isuptime mirrors the provider's own labels.
Yes. isuptime is free, requires no sign-up, and works on any device. Because it is a progressive web app (PWA), you can install it to your home screen and keep using the dashboard offline.
Yes. Use the Alerts button to open the notification panel, choose a severity threshold, and enable browser notifications and/or a custom webhook (for example a Slack webhook). isuptime will alert you the moment a service changes to a status at or above your chosen level.
isuptime only tracks services that publish a public status API. Some well-known platforms such as Meta (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp) and X (Twitter) do not offer a public machine-readable status feed, so they cannot be included.
