isuptime is a free, live status page that monitors the health of 102 developer, AI, cloud and business services — including GitHub, Claude, OpenAI, Cloudflare, AWS, Stripe, Google Cloud and more — by reading each provider's own public status feed on a schedule and combining the results on one dashboard.

A scheduled job checks every provider every few minutes and records the result — that is the measurement, and it runs whether or not anyone is watching. The dashboard in your browser then refetches that reading every 15 seconds (affected components every 30, incidents every 60), and immediately whenever you switch back to the tab.

Every service reports through its own official public status endpoint, in one of eleven formats: Statuspage v2, Instatus, the AWS RSS event feed, the Azure RSS feed, Salesforce's active-incident feed, Google's incident feed, Firebase incidents, Slack's current-status API, Heroku's current-status API, the Statping monitor API and PlayStation's per-region status documents. isuptime only aggregates what each provider publishes — it never probes or tests a service itself, runs no synthetic transactions, and makes no independent judgement about whether a service works.

isuptime does not measure uptime in the usual sense, and the figure on each card is labelled "No outage reported" rather than uptime for that reason. It is the share of recorded checks in which the provider's own feed was not reporting an outage, over a rolling 30-day window. A check where the provider reported degraded performance counts as no-outage — the service was working, just worse. A check where the feed could not be read at all is discarded rather than counted as a failure, since a feed we could not fetch is not evidence about the service behind it. This is isuptime's own measurement of what a provider was publishing about itself, not a measurement of whether the service worked, and not comparable to a contractual SLA.

Not reliably, and this is the biggest limitation of the figure. Providers publish status in eleven different formats, and each draws the line between 'degraded' and 'outage' in a different place. Slack, for example, only registers an outage here when it declares a critical incident — ordinary active incidents count as degraded. Google and YouTube can only register one when Google posts a public incident naming the product. A provider that publishes hundreds of individual components will show far more variance than one that publishes a single overall flag. Treat the percentage as a record of how often one provider admitted to a serious problem, and compare it against that same provider over time rather than against a different provider.

Operational means the provider is not reporting a problem. Degraded means reduced performance or partial impairment. Partial Outage and Major Outage mean the provider reports a service disruption. isuptime starts from the provider's own label, but weighs it against how many of that provider's components are actually affected and whether it has an incident open — so a provider flagging an outage over a handful of components out of hundreds may be reported here as degraded or operational instead. That check only ever softens a verdict, never worsens it.

Yes, and without an account. On the alerts page you choose the severity worth interrupting you for and turn on browser notifications, a Discord, Slack or Telegram webhook, or both; isuptime then alerts you the moment any monitored service changes to a status at or above that level. The alert is raised by isuptime running in your browser, so keep a tab open — and your settings, webhook URLs included, stay in that browser and are never sent to isuptime.

Almost always because the problem is scoped to you rather than to the platform. Status pages report on the provider's infrastructure, not on your account, project, region or network — so rate limits, expired credentials, exhausted quotas, permission changes, regional blocks and local DNS or browser problems all produce failures that no status page will ever show. The other possibility is lag: a provider can be visibly broken for an hour before its own status page acknowledges it, and some incidents are never posted at all. Each service page on isuptime lists the specific things worth checking for that provider.

No. isuptime is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by any of the services it monitors. All product names, logos and brands belong to their respective owners. It reads only public status feeds that each provider publishes for this purpose.

isuptime only tracks services that publish a public status API. Some well-known platforms such as Meta (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp) and X (Twitter) do not offer a public machine-readable status feed, so they cannot be included.
